Children’s art competition

With lockdown restrictions stopping families enjoying themselves earlier this year, Cory launched a children’s art competition to challenge children of Cory employees to draw, paint or build a piece of art that best represented what we do at Cory.

All families were invited to enter the competition, with entries judged by Alex Ridout and Tess Bridgman at Cory.

In total, we received twelve excellent entries ranging across three age groups. While it was incredibly hard to pick an overall winner, the judges eventually decided that Maya, aged nine, had produced the best piece of art. The judges felt her drawing of one of Cory’s tugs and barge travelling down the River Thames captured the essence of what makes Cory’s business unique. Maya has been awarded a set of watercolour pencils for her fantastic picture.

Commenting on the award, judge Alex Ridout said: “It was a lot of fun to organise and judge such a lovely competition, and hopefully it gave parents a nice break from home schooling!”
